Rani Rao Innes

Rani started her career as a university lecturer of English literature in India. She won the British Council scholarship in 1978 which took her to Britain. She taught as a senior teacher in the languages department of two Japanese universities, Waseda Daigaku and Showa Joshidaigaku, for a total of fifteen years. Her last position was as a senior trainer for the British Council. She has worked as a teacher trainer and business communications trainer in the UK, Austria, Malaysia, Japan, Belgium, Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Morocco, Sri Lanka and India. She was also the Vice Principal of Stafford House College in Canterbury, UK.

Rani now works as a freelance business communications trainer and a teacher trainer for her own company, Link Communicate, and trains third-party clients for organisations like Comunicaid in London, International Study Programme in Cheltenham, London School of International Communication and Homelingua in Oxfordshire. She also offers intensive workshops training students and trainers in IELTS.

Rani has been involved in amateur theatre for over forty years. She founded Spandana, an amateur theatre group in Bangalore, India, in 1976; worked with TIPS (Tokyo International Players) in Japan as production manager, and has worked as a director for Canterbury Players in the UK. Her theatre background is very useful in her training courses like speaking clearly, public speaking and effective presentation.

Tony Innes

Tony graduated in applied science and worked for Marconi Communication Systems on pioneering earth stations for satellite communications and radio telescopes for deep space exploration.  After a subsequent 10-year spell with a scientific and technological publisher opening up the world market for a specialist design data service, he went freelance and worked in Japan for 17 years.

Much of the work was with 1st-tier Japanese academic and research institutions revising the English of research reports to make them acceptable for international publication.  Tony’s international business experience was also applied to companies in supporting technological licensing and sales agency agreements.  Creative copywriting of advertisements and sales literature was also provided, and corporate promotion extended to writing the script, designing the visual concept, narration and studio production of a product and corporate AV presentations.

This freelance service has been based in UK for the last 10 years, predominantly for the Japanese market.  Direct and 3rd party clients include: Fuji Oil, Hitachi, Honda Motor Company, Japan Railways, Kajima Construction, Kawasaki Steel, Kobe Steel, Konica, Kyoto University, Marine Biotechnology Institute, Nippon Steel, Shizuoka University, Suntory, The University of Tokyo, Toshiba, Tsukuba University.

Rani is a freelance business communications trainer and an English language teacher trainer. She specialises in presenting in-company courses in cross-cultural awareness, business writing skills, presentation skills, business etiquette, leadership and negotiation skills, non-verbal communication, professional development through NLP as well as training in pronunciation, accent neurtralisation, interview and telephone skills.

Rani has regularly presented courses of her own as well as on behalf of organisations like the British Council and Communicaid. With a background in English language (DELTA) and literature (MA), Rani draws on 30 years experience as an English language teacher and teacher trainer in several countries, vice principal in a sixth form college in the UK, and a business training consultant for the British Council. She is also a licenced practitioner of NLP having trained with various trainers including the co-creator of NLP, Richard Bandler.

Geraldine Moores

Geraldine graduated in English and French from Trinity College Dublin in 1964. She worked as a secondary school teacher of English, French and German in the UK for about 20 years. She worked at the University of Sultan Qaboos in Oman from 1994 to1997, and at the University of Portsmouth in the UK from 1999 to 2000.

Geraldine is a highly qualified (BA, CELTA and DELTA) and experienced trainer and has worked as a business communications trainer and an IELTS trainer and examiner for organizations like the British Council.

Seema Banu

After completing a MSc in Hospital Administration, Seema worked at a Corporate hospital for two years before moving into the academic and training domain. She has worked at Mount Carmel Institute of Management as an Assistant Professor and Life-skills trainer for 10 years. She has assessed, designed, developed and delivered training solutions at all levels of staff as a freelance corporate trainer for Aroha Technologies, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board and Environment Management and Policy Research Institute. Seema is also a trained Advanced NLP practitioner from Link Communicate and School of Excellence.

Meera Innes

Meera is a startup specialist with 10 years of experience working with entrepreneurs and investors in India, Europe and the US. She specialises in culture, communication and leadership and is skilled at recognising early indicators of down-stream issues that cause companies to fail. She is also an advocate for systemic change in entrepreneurship and helping organisations develop healthier practices.

Alex Innes

Alex is a Business Communications trainer with several years of international experience training multinational companies such as Fujitsu, Hitachi and Sanden. He has a Master’s in Communications and International Marketing, and has worked both in the UK and France. He is multilingual and speaks fluent French, Japanese and English. He has an international background and upbringing as he was born in India, brought up in Japan, and educated in Japan and the UK.

Kalpana Mohan

Ms. Kalpana Mohan is a teacher by profession with 32 years of teaching and administrative experience. She served as the Principal of Vidyashilp Academy, ranked among the Top 10 ICSE/IGCSE schools in India, for over 18 years.  With her vast experience she established PNC COGNITIO SCHOOL in Kadugodi Whitefield which focuses mainly on Inclusive education with Finnish model. She possesses strong and practical knowledge in ICSE and CAIE curricula and had the honour of serving as the convener of examinations for ICSE schools in Bangalore and inspector for ICSE affiliation.

Primarily a Bachelor degree holder in Chemistry, she has a Masters in Political Science to her name in addition to a Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism and a Masters in Education Management. She is also a certified Programme Leader by Cambridge University, London. She motivates all her teachers by standing as a role model in the act of ‘Giving Back to the Society’. She pioneered and wishes to continue “free coaching classes” for Grade X students from under-privileged classes. She served as the president of Lions club of Yelahanka and is an active member of the club.

She has won several awards for her contributions to education. “Swarna Karnataka Shikshana Rathna “ by Government of Karnataka, Best Principal award by BEO office, Bangalore North,  was identified as “Super Citizen” by DNA newspaper, and very recently felicitated as “Progressive Principal of India” to name a few.

An Avid follower of Sports Mrs. Kalpana is passionate about Cricket and had represented University of Madras.
